Leslie

This poem was written when my daughter was a toddler.

She’s got ribbons in her hair,
She’s got sparkles in her eyes,
She’s picking all the flowers,
Now she’s looking at the sky

Running through the grass,
Dancing free like a child,
Never caring that she’s being wild,
Her face portrays a one of a kind smile

Sun shining in the sky looking down upon the field
It almost seems the world can’t help but cast a smile
Opening itself to this beautiful little child
Her arms spread out reaching to the sky
As if it to catch the beauty that all around her lies
